1. Who we are

pxlvd ("we", "us", "our") is a pixel art and animation studio available at pxlvd.com, operated by Team pxlvd based in Perth, Western Australia. Contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: Your email address and name when you register via email or Google sign-in.
  • Payment status: Whether your account has a valid purchase. We do not store card details.
  • Analytics: Anonymous page view data via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No personal identifiers, no cookies.
  • Error data: Anonymous error reports via Sentry. Does not contain your artwork or personal data.

3. What we do not collect

  • Your artwork: All pixel art is stored locally in your browser (IndexedDB). We do not upload or store your canvas data.
  • Collaboration canvas data: Canvas data is synced peer-to-peer via WebRTC. Our signaling server only brokers the connection - it never sees or stores your canvas content.

  • To create and manage your account.
  • To verify your purchase and grant access.
  • To send transactional emails (purchase confirmation, password reset).
  • To identify and fix errors in the application.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

pxlvd uses only essential session cookies for authentication. No tracking cookies. No advertising cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data while your account is active. Request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Your rights under GDPR

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have rights under GDPR including: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and the right to object. Lawful basis for processing: contract performance and legitimate interests. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Contact [email protected] to access or correct your information.

10. Children's privacy

pxlvd is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact [email protected] if you believe a child under 13 has registered.

11. Changes to this policy

We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
